Announcements for October 11th, 2009
Women’s Ministry: The WM Meeting has been rescheduled for tomorrow night at 6:30pm in the Church Office. If you are looking for a place to serve in the Body, or you want to know your sisters in Christ in a deeper way, please come join us! We would love to have your input.
Men: The Monday Night Men’s Bible Study is cancelled this week. Please join us again next week.
Board: The monthly Board Meeting is this Tuesday at 7:00pm.
Early Birds: Beginning Tuesday, Oct 20th at 5:00am, there will be a new Men’s Bible Study at Denny’s in Cameron Park, studying the Book of Galatians.
Candy Call: Harvest Night is coming and we need candy donations. Each year we give away about 100 lbs of candy! Please place your donations in the orange tubs in the Foyer, and thank you for your continued support for this community outreach!
Got Cupcakes?: We need donations for our Cupcake Decorating Booth at Harvest Night. If you can help, please bring unfrosted cupcakes to church the week of Oct 25th-31st. Questions? Please stop by the Harvest Table in the Foyer this morning.
Harvest Night: Mark your calendars for our annual Harvest Night Outreach at the El Dorado County fairgrounds, Saturday, Oct 31st from 5:30-8:30pm. Many hands and helpers are needed, so please see the sign up sheet and flyers on the Information Table. For other questions, please contact Pastor Dan or Pam Logan at 626-8484.
Come Celebrate Jesus!: Yes its time to start thinking of Christmas! This year we hope to have music, skits, a readers theatre, puppets and more, (adults and teens are welcome too), to celebrate our Savior’s birth Please pick up a flyer from the Information Table. If you have any questions, please see Pam Logan or Bev Carter.
Visual Team: Do you wish to serve here in the Body, but prefer something “behind the scenes”? Consider being a Projectionist. We will provide the training, and you will be performing a much-needed service here at CCP. If you would like to help, please sign up at the Information Table and you will be contacted.
Sound: We have an immediate need for volunteers in our Sound Ministry, for Sundays and Wednesdays. Training is provided. This is a great way to serve in a vital ministry. Please sign up at the Information Table and you will be contacted.
Sunday Mornings: We welcome your heart to serve in the Children’s Ministry. There are openings in the Preschool and 6th grade. Live scan clearances are required. You’ll be given all information and curriculum needed. Please see Pam Logan or Pastor Dan for more information.
Wednesday Evenings: Children’s Ministry is in need of helpers to oversee children during the midweek service from 7:00-8:30pm, typically every other week. Please prayerfully consider serving, and contact the Office for more information.
Israel: Pastor Nick will be leading a tour to the Holy Land, May 1st – 12th, 2010. It will be an awe inspiring trip you won’t want to miss! The registration deadline has been extended, so it’s not too late to send yours in. Flyers, with complete details and registration form, are available at the Information Table. There will be an Orientation Meeting next Sunday at 7:00pm for all going, and all wanting more information.
Winter Needs: Cold weather will soon be upon us. We are collecting clean, used, adult-sized coats for the community homeless. Please place your donations the large box in the Foyer. Also any spare tarps (in good and clean condition) you may have, any size, color, or material, would be greatly appreciated. Prayer: Do you have a prayer request? Please fill out a green form, located on the tables in the Foyer, and place it in the Prayer Request Box on the wall above the Information Table. They will be prayed for on Fridays by the Men’s Prayer group, who will diligently lift up your needs before the Lord. For an immediate need, please call the Prayer Chain at 626-8484 weekdays or 626-7183 weekends. All men are welcome to join us for prayer every Friday at 6:30am
