Jail Ministry: There will be a mandatory meeting for all Jail Ministry volunteers this Tuesday at 6:00pm in the High School Room, to discuss important new changes in the ministry.
Family Camp: Family Camp is only 2 weeks away! If you previously signed up and received a statement, payment is due today. If you haven’t signed up yet, please do so this morning. Flyers and a sign up sheet are on the Information Table. Everyone staying at Family Camp must be signed up in advance. Single day use is allowed by purchasing a day pass at Lake Francis, but meals are on your own. Don’t miss the fun!
Important!: Due to Family Camp there will be one Service only here on Sunday, June 3rd at 9:30am.
Christian Kids Bowling!: An exciting new summer activity is starting up in Pollock Pines. Kids of all ages are welcome to participate in the “Knotty Pines” bowling league designed just for Christian kids. The league will begin June 7th and last through August 16th. If you’d like to see your children enjoying themselves in the company of other believers, please pick up a flyer and sign up at the Information Table.
Vacation Bible School: It’s time to register your kids for the upcoming VBS trek to Sonrise National Park, June 26th – 29th, from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Stop by the VBS table, or register your “campers” on line at calvaryplacerville.com under “featured Events.”
Couple’s Retreat: The Married Couple’s Retreat at Zephyr Point in Lake Tahoe is scheduled for July 27th – 29th. A sign up sheet is on the Information Table for those interested in going. The cost is $280.00 per couple for two night accommodations and four meals, and preregistration is required. This is a great way to refresh your relationship!
Men’s Campout: Mark your calendars now for the Men’s Campout, Aug 3rd – 5th at Petra Springs. Men are encouraged to bring their sons, and come enjoy a great time in the Word, fishing, hiking and bike riding. More details will follow soon.
VBS Work Days: Looking for a place to use your gifts? Consider coming and helping at the upcoming Vacation Bible School prep days. We have several dates scheduled throughout May and June. Pick up a flyer at the Information Table and come and join us! All help will be most appreciated.
Firstfruits Garden: Our Firstfruits Garden, out by the playground, will not be planted and cultivated this season. If anyone is led to manage and maintain the garden, please call the Church Office for more information.
Cleaning Ministry: Our Cleaning Ministry is in need of volunteers to help clean the Church on Tuesdays or Fridays, once or twice a month, especially during the summer months. A sign up sheet is on the Information Table for all who can help in this important behind-the-scenes ministry.
Volleyball: All are welcome every Thursday, at 6:00pm, for volleyball on the grass. Folks of all ages are encouraged to join us! Water and cups are provided, and whatever snacks you bring are appreciated.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Youth Movie Night: Come join the fun! All Jr/Sr High students are invited to Movie Night this Saturday, May 19th at 6:30pm. Sign up at the Information Table, and bring $5.00 for dinner. For more information, please see pastor Edde.
Fundraiser: The Youth Ministry is having a Rummage Sale this Saturday, May 19th at the Fairgrounds, to raise funds for the summer Horse Camp Outreach to “at risk” children. We will be collecting items for the Sale through Friday, HOWEVER, please do not bring anything to the Church before contacting Pastor Edde at the Church or by email: edde@calvaryplacerville.com. All donations are appreciated, but welcome donations of used horse tack. If you can help out at the Rummage Sale please contact Pastor Edde, or Penny Cochran at rpcochran@cal.net. Thanks!

Petition: Today is your last chance to sign the petition! In 2011 the Stop SB48 campaign came within 8,000 signatures of bringing this controversial bill before California voters. SB48 was signed into law in July 2011, and forces all California schools to include a positive discussion of sexual orientation, transgender, bisexual and homosexual Americans in Social Science courses. An initiative is now underway to overturn SB48, and petitions are available this morning in the Foyer. Stop by and check it out.
