Prayer: There will be a Prayer Meeting/Memorial Service this evening at 7:00pm for Matt Mansfield, former overseer at U Turn For Christ. All are welcome.
Board: The monthly Board Meeting is this Tuesday at 7:00pm.
Ladies: Our 6 week summer study, “Living Victoriously in Difficult Times”, begins this Thursday at 10:30am here at CCP and 6:30pm in Cameron Park. The cost is $7.00. Please sign up at the Information Table if you plan to attend. Childcare is provided for morning classes only. If you have any questions, please contact Lynn at the Church Office.
Ladies: All ladies, ages 12 and up, please join us this Friday for Ladies’ Fellowship Night, from 6:30-9:00pm. This is the perfect opportunity to get to know one another, plus a chance to share the different giftings the Lord has blessed us with. Please sign up at the Information Table, and plan to join us!
Breakfast: All men are invited to Breakfast this Saturday at 8:00am here at the Church. Guest speaker will be Pastor Bob Huddleston of CC Sacramento. There will be good food, teaching and fellowship. The cost is $5.00. Please sign up today at the Information Table so we know how many to cook for.
Water Skiing: All Jr/Sr High students are invited to a Water Ski/BBQ Day at Folsom Lake, Monday June 21st, meeting at the Church at 8:00am. The cost is $7.00. It will be great fun! Please sign up today at the Information Table if you plan to attend. For all the details, please see Pastor Edde.
Epicenter: On June 25th and 26th we are pleased to host a live simulcast of the Epicenter Conference 2010. The speakers include Joel Rosenberg, Kay Arthur, Greg Laurie and more, who come together for the purpose of building a global movement of Christians to bless Israel, come what may. Friday night is 6:45 – 9:00pm, and Saturday’s sessions begin at 8:30am. There is no charge and all are invited. Bring your friends too!
Fun: Bring the whole family to the Barbeque Potluck and Outdoor Movie Night Friday, July 2nd, here at the church. We’ll provide the hamburgers and hotdogs, and each family brings a large side dish or dessert. Dinner starts at 7:00pm and the movie begins at dusk on the lawn. Couples: Coming July 30th–Aug 1st is a married Couples Retreat at Zephyr Point Conference Grounds, on beautiful Lake Tahoe. This will be a weekend full of encouragement and exhortation on marriage, personal time together and corporate worship. A sign up sheet is on the Information Table if you’re interested in going, as well as registration brochures with complete details and registration form. You will be blessed!
Jail Ministry: We praise God for all the work He is currently doing in the hearts and minds of inmates at the El Dorado County jail and for letting us participate in His plans. There currently are a few time slots open for ministering at the county jail to the many inmates that have a hunger and thirst for the Lord and His Word.
Vacation Bible School Help Days: Got some time this summer? We have help days scheduled throughout the months of June and July to prepare for VBS. See the Information Table for a flyer with dates and a sign-up sheet. Questions? Please call Pam at the Church. Come join us!

Announcements for April 11, 2010

Adoption: This Saturday the Church of the Foothills will present a free Spirit of Adoption Seminar. Please see the poster over the Information Table for more information, and pre-register at www.AWAA.org/Events.
Mexico: Be sure to join us next Sunday as the Mexico Mission Youth share during both Services!
Outreach: This Saturday at 6:00pm, here at the church, we will be hosting a benefit Worship Concert for the Folsom Prison Gospel Outreach planned for this summer. This concert will feature contemporary worship by Ps 150. Also for the same cause, at 6:00pm on Saturday, May 8th, a benefit Banquet will be held at the Firefighters Hall in Diamond Springs. All proceeds will help bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to inmates at three local prisons. Tickets are on sale today for both events at the table in the Foyer or see Randy Haskins.
Change: The CM Family Skating Day scheduled for April 24th (as posted on the Church calendar) has been postponed to a later date.
Financial Workshops: On Saturday, April 24th from 9:00 10:30am, Kevin Wright will be doing the third in a series of monthly workshops for any who would like help with such things as budgeting, credit card debt, savings, investments, etc. Kevin’s heart is to offer assistance, using practical skills with a Biblical perspective. The workshops are free, and there will be no solicitation. Please sign up at the Information Table if you’d like to attend.
Children’s’ Ministry: All CM teachers, aides, preschool, and nursery servants, are requested to attend a CM servants training and fellowship workshop here on Sunday Apr 25th at 12:15pm. Very important information will be shared for all grade levels, and lunch will first be provided in the High School room first. All involved with CM are requested to attend.
Gardening: The Firstfruits Garden will be starting up on Wednesday, May 5th, from 9:30 – 11:00am (weather permitting). Adults and children 6 and up are welcome to join us. Please wear gardening attire and gloves.
Family Camp: Family Camp at Lake Francis will be June 4th – 6th. It’s a great location with lots of exciting activity opportunities. Pick up a flyer at the Information Table and read it to see your various options, then fill out your information on the sign up sheet. Statements will start being mailed soon. Please call the Office with questions and for important information regarding reserving additional days.
Life: The California Human Rights Amendment will amend the California Constitution and define human rights as beginning at biological development! 1.2 million signatures are needed to place it on the November ballot. The deadline is rapidly approaching, so if you’d like to sign the petition, see Doug in the Kitchen after either Service today.
Donation Tax Receipts: If you would like a receipt for your 2009 giving, please fill out a request form located on the Information Table and place it in the Tithe Box. Your receipt will be mailed to you. Thank you for your faithful giving!
