Board: The monthly Board Meeting is this Tuesday at 7:00pm.
Jr/Sr High: All Jr/Sr High students are invited to the Friday Night Connect this Friday at 6:00pm.
Fundraiser: The Youth Ministry is having a Rummage Sale on Saturday, May 19th at the Fairgrounds, to raise funds for the summer Horse Camp Outreach to “at risk” children. We will be collecting items for the Sale starting Tuesday, May 8th, through Friday, May 18th, HOWEVER, please do not bring anything to the Church before contacting Pastor Edde at the Church or by email; edde@calvaryplacerville.com. All donations are appreciated, but welcome donations of used horse tack. If you can help out at the Rummage Sale please contact Pastor Edde, or Penny Cochran at: rpcochran@cal.net. Thanks!
Family Camp: Family Camp is on!, and only 4 weeks away! Flyers and registration sheets are on the Information Table. Please sign up today if you plan to attend. Also, we are looking for a 14’ to 18’ covered cargo trailer we can borrow to transport the kitchen equipment. If you have one we can use, please call Kathy at the Church Office.
Time Change: Due to Family Camp there will be one Service only here on Sunday, June 3rd at 9:30am.
Christian Kids Bowling!: An exciting new summer activity is starting up in Pollock Pines. Kids of all ages are welcomed to participate in the “Knotty Pines” bowling league designed just for Christian kids. The league will begin June 7th and last through August 16th. If you’d like to see your children enjoying themselves in the company of other believers, please pick up a flyer and sign up at the Information Table.
Couple’s Retreat: The Married Couple’s Retreat at Zephyr Point in Lake Tahoe is scheduled for July 27th – 29th. A sign up sheet is on the Information Table and we’d appreciate you signing up today if interested. The cost is $280.00 per couple for two night accommodations and four meals, and preregistration is required.
Men’s Campout: Mark your calendars now for the Men’s Campout, Aug 3rd – 5th at Petra Springs. Men are encouraged to bring their sons, and come enjoy a great time in the Word, fishing, hiking and bike riding. More details will follow soon.
VBS Work Days: Looking for a place to use your gifts? Consider coming and helping at the upcoming Vacation Bible School prep days. We have several dates scheduled throughout May and June. Pick up a flyer at the Information Table and come and join us! All help will be most appreciated.
Cleaning Ministry: Our Cleaning Ministry is in need of volunteers to help clean the Church on Tuesdays or Fridays, once or twice a month, especially during the summer months. If you are interested in joining this important behind-the-scenes ministry, a sign up sheet is on the Information Table.
Petition: In 2011 the Stop SB48 campaign came within 8,000 signatures of bringing this controversial bill before California voters. SB48 was signed into law in July 2011, and forces all California schools to include a positive discussion of sexual orientation, transgender, bisexual and homosexual Americans in Social Science courses. An initiative is now underway to overturn SB48, and petitions are available this morning and next Sunday in the Foyer. Stop by and check it out.
Volleyball: All are welcome every Thursday, at 6:00pm, for volleyball on the grass. Folks of all ages are encouraged to join us! Water and cups are provided, and whatever snacks you bring are welcome.
Found: Our Lost and Found is again overflowing with items waiting to be claimed by their owners. Please check the Kitchen today for any items that you may be missing. All unclaimed items will be donated this week.

Board: The monthly Board Meeting is this Tuesday at 7:00pm.
Financial Peace: Starting this Thursdayis Dave Ramsey’s “Financial Peace Class”. This will help you handle your family finances and budget. It is a 13 week course, meeting upstairs in the High School Room, from 7:00-9:00pm each Thursday. No childcare is provided. Please pickup a flyer at the Information Table and sign up if you are interested in attending.

Chocolate: In honor of George Fast’s commitment to Missions, there will be a Hot Chocolate Stand fundraiser to help purchase a camel for a needy Asian family. The cost for a camel through Gospel for Asia’s gift program is $340.00. Camels can be used for plowing, transportation and hauling goods. The milk and wool can be sold for income as well. This can make a big difference to a poor family. Please join us on the lawn area next Sunday after both Services and pick up a hot or iced chocolate for a donation of any size. What a great way to honor George’s life!
Family Outdoor Fun Day: Come join us here on Saturday, Apr 21st from 10:00am – 2:00pm for some fun in the sun and fellowship too, out on the grass. There will be volleyball, sack races, tug-o-war, balloon toss, and other “fun-tivities”, for all ages. And there will be food too! Hotdogs, popcorn, lemonade, and ice cream will be provided, so bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a good old fashion picnic with your brothers and sisters in Christ. Laser Tag: Jr/Sr High School students! Friday, Apr 27th we are getting together for a night of Laser Tag. This will be a great time of fun and fellowship. Invite your friends!! The cost is $26.00, which covers 2 games, 4 arcade tokens and dinner at Laser City in El Dorado Hills. We will meet here at the Church at 5:45 pm that evening. Ladies: All ladies are invited to our Women’s Spring Luncheon Saturday, Apr 28th from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Childcare will be provided for children up to age 10. Nursing infants are welcome! It will be a great time of worship, prayer, good food and fellowship. The cost is $5.00, payable at the door. Please sign up at the Information Table if you plan to attend, so we know how much food to prepare. And invite a friend!
Men: The Northern California Calvary Chapel Men’s Conference is Saturday, Apr 28th from 9:00am – 3:00pm at CC Modesto. The main speaker is Pastor David Burdick of CC San Francisco. The conference is free, but you can purchase lunch there for $8.00. Men are encouraged to bring their sons. If you would like to carpool, please sign up at the Information Table.
Family Camp: Sign ups have begun for Family Camp at Lake Francis, June 1st – 3rd! This is a great time of fun and fellowship at a great location. Tent and RV sites are available, and we have some cabins left, which are reserved on first-signed up basis. Flyers and registration sheets are on the Information Table. It’s gonna be fun!

Donation Tax Receipts: If you would like a receipt for your 2011 giving, please fill out a request form located on the Information Table and place it in the Tithe Box. Your receipt will be mailed to you.
