Tonight: Everyone is invited to join us this evening at 7:00pm for a time of prayer.

Board: The monthly Board Meeting is this Tuesday at 7:00pm.

Office: Our Offices will be closed this Friday from 12:00 – 2:30pm for a Staff meeting.

Soldiers: We’re pleased to partner with Faith Comes by Hearing in providing Military Biblesticks for soldiers stationed overseas. Each one contains the audio New Testament, and is small enough for them to listen to anywhere.  Each Biblestick costs only $25.00 and comes with a card for soldiers to request an MP3 Bible for their family. If you’d like to donate one or more, please make your check out to Calvary Chapel, noting “Military Biblesticks”, and place it in the Tithe Box by Thanksgiving.  What better way to commemorate Veteran’s Day than with the gift of God’s Word!

Thanksgiving: Mark your calendars and plan to join us at our Thanksgiving Praise and Worship Night, Wednesday, Nov 23rd at 7:00pm. This is a wonderful time to celebrate and thank God for Who He is and all He’s done!

Ladies: “Good News of Great Joy!“ is the theme of our Women’s Christmas Dinner on Friday, Dec 2nd, from 6:00 – 9:00pm. This is a great opportunity to invite your friends and family to hear God’s Christmas story, and to prepare our own hearts to celebrate Jesus! Dinner tickets are $5.00 each and proceeds will benefit our Food Closet. They will be for sale in the Foyer this morning and next Sunday, Nov 20th, or you may purchase them in the Office, during regular hours through Nov 25th. Seating is  limited. Please plan now to attend this special evening.

Christmas: The Food Closet will be giving away Christmas Stockings/Bags to families in need, which will include various goodies and a devotional CD and message. If you would like to sponsor one or more bags/stockings, at a cost of $10.00 each, please sign up at the Information Table.

Rides Ministry: We have a growing need in our community for transportation to and from our worship Services, especially Sunday mornings. Unfortunately some who have a heart to worship and grow in God’s Word must miss out on Services and fellowship solely because they lack transportation. We would like to begin a “Rides Ministry” here at Calvary that utilizes volunteers when someone needs a ride to Church. Volunteers are needed from all areas of the County. If you can help drive, please sign up at the Information Table. For the details, please see Pastor Dan. Thank you.

Visual Team: Do you wish to serve here in the Body, but prefer something “behind the scenes”? Consider being a Projectionist. We will provide the training, and you will be providing a much-needed service. If you are at least 16 years of age, and would like to help, please sign up at the Information Table and you will be contacted.

Coffee: You can help support missions in Costa Rica AND enjoy delicious coffee at the aame time! Costa Rican coffee is available in the Foyer from our youth this morning for a donation of $15.00 a bag. A portion of that may be tax deductable; please call the Office for more information.

Help: The Thrift & Gift on Missouri Flat Road is seeking donations of gently-used re-sellable furniture and small kitchen appliances. Donations can be dropped off at the store during business hours.Proceeds benefit missions in Thailand and Burma.

Special Needs Childcare: Our Children’s Ministry is seeking volunteers for one-on-one care during first Service, of cognitively impaired and other disabled children. A professionally trained Special Needs teacher will be providing training and leadership for volunteers. Today after second Service we will have a training meeting for those interested in volunteering. Lunch is provided. Questions? Please see Pam Logan or Pastor Dan.

Men: Our Tuesday Morning Bible Study, at Denny’s in Cameron Park, starts a new study this week in the Book of Acts. All men are encouraged to come  and join us!

Ladies: Women’s Ministry is having a planning meeting this Tuesday at 6:30pm in the High School Room.  We will be discussing the upcoming Women’s Fall Luncheon. Many volunteers are needed. Come and see how the Lord would use you in His service to your sisters in Christ!

Mini Golf: Come join us at Sunsplash in Roseville for Miniature Golf and Race Cars, this Saturday at 9:30am. This yearly event is really a hoot! Please sign up today at the Information Table. Don’t miss it!

Important: The week of Oct 17th – 21st we will have our parking lot sealed and striped. There can be no vehicles or people traffic on it, so regular studies and activities at the Church are cancelled for that Monday through Friday afternoon

Ladies: You are invited to a Women’s Fall Luncheon Saturday, Oct 22nd from 10:00am – 2:30pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, fellowship with your Christian sisters, enjoy delicious food and soak in God’s precious Word. The cost is $5.00 (payable at the door), but please sign up at the Information Table so we will have a place setting reserved just for you! Childcare will be available. Don’t miss out and tell a friend!

Firewood: On Saturday, Oct 29th, from 8:00am-12:00pm, we will be having a wood cutting day, at an offsite location. Many hands make light work.  Please sign up at the Information Table if you can help out, pick up a map, and plan to bring your trucks and chainsaws.

Harvest Night: Our Harvest Night outreach will be at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds Monday, Oct 31st from 5:30 – 8:30pm. Many areas of service are available, as well as donations of candy and food. Life: The Sacramento 40 Days For Life is Sept 26th – Nov 6th, at the abortion clinic on Wright Street. This is a peaceful, prayerful vigil, to help women choose LIFE. If you’d like to participate, please sign up at the Information Table and you will be contacted.

Christmas!: Women’s Ministry is planning a Dinner for Friday, Dec 2nd, that will be both an outreach and a time of preparing our hearts to celebrate the birth of Jesus. On Tuesday, Oct 25th at 6:30pm we’re having a planning meeting and need your help and ideas. If you’re interested in serving in any way please sign up at the Information Table today.

CM Check-in: Our Children’s Ministry recently piloted a new safety process in the Nursery and Preschool. Each child receives a wrist band with a unique number that corresponds with the same number on a ticket stub given to each parent when they drop their child off during service. This will be routine for these age groups on Sundays and other high volume times. Parents, we ask for your cooperation in remembering to drop off the ticket stub when retrieving your child from one of these classrooms. Thank you!

Needs: Our Food Closet is a ministry that, two times a month, distributes food to those in need in our community. They are seeking donations of the following non-perishable items: canned fruit, corn and green beans, spaghetti sauce, top ramen, cereal, crackers, and cake/muffin mixes. These can be left next to the Food Closet door in the side hallway. This ministry operates solely on donations and thanks all who have helped.
