Announcements for February 21, 2010

Offices: Our Offices will open at 10:30 this Tuesday morning due to a Staff Meeting.

Financial Workshops: We’re blessed to have a brother in the Body who is skilled in financial matters, and willing to help others be good stewards of their finances. Kevin Wright will be doing a series of monthly workshops for any who would like help with such things as budgeting, credit card debt, savings, investments, etc. Kevin’s heart is to offer assistance, using practical skills with a Biblical perspective. The workshops are free, and there will be no solicitation.  The first Workshop is this Saturday from 9:00 – 10:30am. Please sign up at the Information Table if you’d like to attend.

Worship Night: Plan to join us next Sunday at 7:00pm for a great time of Worship!

Women: If you’d like to be a part of Women’s Ministries, or want more information about who we are and what we do, please join us at our meeting Monday, Mar 1st at 6:30pm in the Church Office. Come see how the Lord would like to use you for His glory!

Bowling: Children’s Ministry has planned a Family Bowling Day at Knotty Pines Lanes on Saturday, Mar 6th at 12:30pm. It’s fun for the whole family! Please pick up a flyer and sign up at the Information Table.

New: A Home Fellowship is starting in Pollock Pines! Tony & Danyelle Jemmott’s group will meet the first Saturday of each month at 6:00pm starting Mar 6th, for a foundational and interactive Study. For more information please call the Church Office.

Ladies: Women’s Ministry is having a Movie Night Friday, Mar 12that 7:00pm. We will be showing “China Cry”, a true story about Nora Lam. This movie is a great testimony of one woman’s courage and faith in communist China. Please sign up at the Information Table and bring a snack to share for a night out with the girls!

Easter: The Food Closet will be giving out Easter Dinner Boxes to people in need. They provide a special meal, and tell the true meaning of Easter. The cost is $30.00 each. If you’d like to sponsor one or more, please sign up at the Information Table.

Women’s Retreat: Coming up April 9th – 11th is our Women’s Retreat at Old Oak Ranch. This will be a great weekend of spiritual renewal, fellowship and fun! Please pick up a registration form at the Information Table for complete details, and plan to attend.

Family Camp:  Mark your calendars for Family Camp at Lake Francis, June 4th – 6th. More information will be available in March, but be sure to save these dates.

Israel: The dates for the Israel Trip have been changed, due to an insufficient number of participants. We will now be joining Calvary Chapel Pasadena, May 11th – 23rd, for an exciting tour of Israel. If interested, please pick up a flyer at the Information Table. Registration is done individually by mail.  Full payment is due by February 24th.

Servants Needed: Pre-School has a vacancy once a month during the Wednesday Night Service. It is a blessing!!  Lord tugging on your heart? Please see Pastor Dan or Pam for more information.

Life: The California Human Rights Amendment will amend the California Constitution and define human rights as beginning at biological development! 1.2 million signatures are needed to place it on the November ballot. If you’d like to sign the petition, see Doug at the table in the Foyer after either Service.

Haiti: For information about the situation, or to donate to Calvary Chapel Melbourne on behalf of Haiti relief, go to the link on our website.

Donation Tax Receipts: If you would like a receipt for your 2009 giving, please fill out a request form located on the Information Table and place it in the Tithe Box. Your receipt will be mailed to you.  Thank you for your faithful giving!

Prayer: Do you have a prayer request? Please email your requests to info@calvaryplacerville.com. Your need will be placed on our Prayer Chain and will be prayed for ernestly by our faithful pray-ers.
