Announcements for November 8, 2009

Special: This morning we are happy to welcome back Dr. Thomas Kindell of Reasons for Faith Ministries. He will be speaking on “Design in Nature—The Birds”, and at 7:00pm, “Is There A Monkey in Your Family Tree?” Bring out the whole family, and invite a friend!

Soldiers: We’re pleased to partner with Faith Comes by Hearing in providing Military Biblesticks for soldiers stationed overseas. Each one contains the audio New Testament, and is small enough for them to listen to anywhere.  Each Biblestick costs only $25.00 and comes with a card for soldiers to request an MP3 Bible for their family. If you’d like to donate one or more, please make your check out to Calvary Chapel, noting “Military Biblesticks”, and place it in the Tithe Box today.  What better way to commemorate Veteran’s Day than with the gift of God’s Word!

Firewood: This Saturday, from 8:00am-12:00pm, we will be having a wood cutting day. Many hands make light work.  Please sign up at the Information Table if you can help out. Also, if you are a single woman or an elderly person in need of firewood, please sign up, indicating how much wood you will need, and someone will contact you. If you would like more information, please call the Church Office.

Ladies: Please join us this Saturday from 9:00-11:00am for a special Worship and Prayer Meeting. This will be a sweet time of praise and intercessory prayer as we join with our sisters in Christ and bring needs before the Lord. For more information, please contact the Church Office.

New Study: The Men’s Monday Night Bible Study will be starting a new study in the book of John on November 16th at 7:00pm. All men are encouraged to come on out!

Thanksgiving: Mark your calendars and plan to join us at our Thanksgiving Praise and Worship Night, Wednesday, Nov 25th at 7:00pm. This is a wonderful time to celebrate and thank God for Who He is and all He’s done!
