Offices: Our Offices will open at 10:30am this Tuesday due to a Staff Meeting.
Ladies: Beginning this Thursday, June 23rd, we are starting an eight-week Summer Bible Study in the book of 1st John. There will be a morning class only, at 9:30am, and childcare is available. Please sign up at the Information Table. Come join us as we fellowship together over God’s Word, and you are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy out on the lawn area afterwards. (No childcare during lunch, but the kids can enjoy the playground!)
Worship: Plan to join us for a great time of Praise & Worship, next Sunday, June 26th at 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome, and nursery and toddler care is provided.
5th/6th Grade Camp: All students currently in 5th or 6th grade are welcome to attend this year’s summer weekend Campout July 15th -17th. This year it will be held at an all new campground, “Petra Springs Christian Camp”, owned and operated by Calvary Chapel Woodland. The cost is $40.00 per student and includes all meals, van trip, camp fee, and activities. The theme for the weekend in Colossians 1:16. The signup sheet and registration packs are on the Information Table. Please see Pastor Dan if you have questions.
Volleyball / Barbecue: Please join us Thursday night, June 30, starting at 6:00 pm for F.R.E.D. Volleyball and a potluck barbecue. It doesn’t matter if you play or not, please join us for fellowship, food and lots of noisy people having fun. Drinks and hamburgers and hotdogs will be provided. Please sign up at the Information Table, indicating if you’ll bring a side-dish, salad or desert. And remember, EVERY Thursday night at 6:00 pm is volleyball on the grass. We look forward to seeing you there!
Coming Up: The Youth Ministry Backpacking Trip is happening July 18th – 20th. The cost is $35 per person. Signups and details will be available next Sunday, but save the date now!
Couple’s Retreat: The Married Couple’s Retreat at Zephyr Point in Lake Tahoe is scheduled for July 29th – 31st. A sign up sheet is on the Information Table as well as registration forms. The cost is $265.00 per couple for two night accommodations and four meals. If you signed up, but haven’t yet registered, please do so as soon as possible. It’s a great time to get away and refresh your relationship!
Coffee: You can help support missions in Costa Rica AND enjoy delicious coffee at the same time! Costa Rican coffee is available in the Foyer from our youth this morning for a donation of $15.00 a bag. A portion of that may be tax deductable; please call the Office for more information.

Announcements for January 23, 2011
Women: This Thursday a new Women’s Bible Study begins in the book of 2 Timothy. The morning class begins at 9:30am, and childcare is provided. Or you may join us in the evening at 6:30pm (sorry, no childcare). Please sign up at the Information Table. We would love to have you!
Luncheon: Women’s Ministry is hosting a Mom’s Luncheon this Saturday from 10:00am – 2:00pm. All ladies are invited, but especially moms. Childcare will be provided for children up to age 10. Nursing infants are welcome! It will be a great time of worship, prayer, good food and fellowship. It is our gift to you; the luncheon is FREE, but please sign today up at the Information Table so we know how much food to prepare. And bring a friend!
Worship: Join us next Sunday evening at 7:00pm for a great time of Worship and Praise. Nursery and Toddler care is available. Bring the family!
Special: All are invited to a “Biblical Wedding” presentation by Pastor Jay McCarl, Monday, Feb 7th, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, here at the Church. The Young Adult Fellowship will host the event, which is a lively and moving demonstration of how the people of Jesus’ day celebrated a wedding. Through the Galilean wedding, Jesus showed His disciples the Greatest Day in all time and eternity, and the great romance between Himself and His bride, the Church. There is no meal, and there is no cost. All are welcome!
Breakfast: All men are invited to our Men’s Breakfast Saturday, Feb 19th at 8:00am. It’s a great time of good food and fellowship with brothers in Christ, as well as a special guest speaker. The cost is $5.00. Please sign-up today at the Information Table if you plan to attend, so we know how much food to prepare.
Winter Camp: Mark your calendars now for the Jr High Winter Camp at Woodleaf, Mar 4th-6th. More information will follow soon, but if you are interested in going, please sign up at the Information Table.
Conference: Flyers are now on the Information Table for the High Sierra Pastors’ and Leaders’ Conference at Zephyr Point, Mar 28th – 30th. Registration is done individually by mail. This conference can fill quickly, so don’t delay.
Cleaning Ministry: Our Cleaning Ministry is in need of volunteers to help clean the church on Tuesdays or Fridays. A sign up sheet is on the Information Table if you are interested in joining this important behind-the-scenes ministry.
Coming Soon: Mark your calendars for these upcoming events: Family Camp at Lake Francis Resort, June 3rd – 5th and the Couple’s Retreat, July 29th – 31st at Tahoe. More details will follow.
Children’s Ministry: If you’d like to be part of God’s plan to raise children up in His way, we can use you! Currently we are looking for substitute teachers and caregivers, those that are “on call” in case of sickness or other absences, that can step in during a Sunday or Wednesday service. You will be given training and direction, but you will not be on the monthly teaching or Nursery schedule. Please contact Pam Logan or Pastor Dan for more information.
Scripture Readers: Children’s Ministry is updating our Scripture Reader List. If your child would like to read on Sunday mornings, please sign up at the Information Table and you will be contacted.
Donation Tax Receipts: If you would like a receipt for your 2010 giving, please fill out a request form located on the Information Table and place it in the Tithe Box. Your receipt will be mailed to you.
