Conference: All men are encouraged to attend a free Video Conference “Living in the Last Days”, this Saturday from 9:00am – 3:00pm, here at Calvary. Lunch is available for $6.00, payable at the door. The deadline to sign up is today, so if you’re planning on attending, please sign up at the Information Table.
Jr/Sr High Students: Youth Worship Class begins this Wednesday at 4:00pm. If you are interested, please pick up an application (with all details) at the Information Table and return the completed form, along with $10.00, to Pastor Edde today.
Ladies: A new study begins this Thursday in the Book of Joshua. The morning class will begin at 9:45am (childcare provided). The evening class starts at 6:30pm (sorry, no childcare). The cost is $5.00. Please sign up at the Information Table today.
Worship: Join us next Sunday evening at 7:00pm for a great time of Worship and Praise, outside on the lawn, weather permitting.. Nursery and Toddler care is available. Bring the family and come on out!
Pure Life: Registration forms and flyers are available at the Information Table for A Call to Purity Weekend, presented here Friday, Sept 9th from 7:00 – 9:00pm, and Saturday, Sept 10th from 8:30am – 12:30pm. Men, women, and high school students are encouraged to attend. Registration forms and payment can be placed in the Tithe Box, noting “Call to Purity”.
Jail Ministry: There will be a Jail Orientation meeting Monday, Sept 19th at 6:00pm at the El Dorado County Jail. Current volunteers who have not been to an orientation within the past two years are required to attend. Those interested in joining this vital ministry are also asked to attend.
Men: The Northern California Men’s Retreat at Woodleaf is Oct 7th – 9th. The theme is 1 Chronicles 22:19, “Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God.” The cost is $110.00 (cost of the T-Shirt is extra). Please sign up at the Information Table if you wish to attend. Registration brochures will soon follow. This is a great time of fellowship with the Lord and your brother’s in Christ!
Garden Ministry: The Firstfruits Garden is in need of volunteers to oversee this important ministry. We also need volunteers to come on Wednesday mornings to help with weeding and maintenance.
Life: The Sacramento 40 Days For Life is Sept 26th through Nov 6th, at the abortion clinic on Wright Street. This is a peaceful, prayerful vigil, to help women choose LIFE. For more information, please contact the Office.
Stop SB48: Gov. Brown recently signed SB48 into law, which requires Ca. text books to include a study of the role and contributions of “…lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans…” Stop SB48 is collecting signatures to overturn this. Petitions are available in the Kitchen this morning, if you’d like to sign one.
Found: Our Lost and Found is again overflowing with items waiting to be claimed by their owners. Please check the Kitchen today for any items that you may be missing.

VBS: A big “Thank you!” to all who helped out during Vacation Bible School. Many were blessed through your faithful service!
Board: The monthly Board Meeting is this Tuesday at 7:00pm.
Jr/Sr High: All Jr/Sr High students are invited to the Friday Night Connect this Friday at 6:00pm. For all the details please go to the Youth Website at ww.john146.org.
Parachute Sunday: Please join us next Sunday following second Service for a “Parachute Picnic” on the lawn. We will be selling lemonade and iced tea to raise funds for Voice of the Martyrs’ Parachute Project. V.O.M. sends parachute packages of Bibles and gospel literature into guerilla controlled areas of Columbia. We have 30 parachutes to put together, and need to raise $200.00 to put them on a plane. Please bring your family and a lunch to eat while you assemble one. It will be fun, and a great blessing! All are welcome!
