Health: This morning the Agape Health Nurses will be offering free blood pressure screening after both services in the Main Office.
Worship: Join us this evening at 7:00pm for a great time of Worship and Praise. Nursery and Toddler care is available. Come on out!
Ladies: The Thursday Bible Studies are cancelled this week due to the holiday. Please join us again on July 8th.
Fun: Bring the whole family to the Barbeque Potluck and Outdoor Movie Night this Friday here at the church. We’ll provide the hamburgers and hotdogs, and each family brings a large side dish or dessert. Dinner starts at 7:00pm and the movie begins at dusk on the lawn. Please sign up today at the Information Table— we need to know how many to cook for.
Jr/Sr High Students: – We’re having a Backpacking Trip Friday, July 9th - 11th. It will be a fun time in the outdoors, a time of fellowship and time in the Word! If you are interested in going, please sign up at the Information Table. The deadline to sign up is Sunday July 4th. If you have questions, please contact Pastor Edde at edde@calvaryplacerville.com, or call him at the Church during regular business hours.
Bakers Needed: Elizabeth Stein is organizing a Bake Sale to benefit the Crisis Pregnancy Center here on Sunday, July 11th. If you can participate by providing baked goods for this worthy cause, please contact the Church Office.
Campout!: The annual 5th/6th grade Campout at Sly Park is July 16th -18th. The sign up sheet for both students and overseers is on the Information Table. This is always a great time of growing, fun, fellowship, food, (S’mores), etc. The cost is $39.00 for the weekend. All students going into 5th through 7th grades are welcome to attend.
Baptism: Sunday, July 25th we’re having a Baptism/Swim Party at the City Pool. The pool opens at 5:45pm, but bring a picnic dinner and join us in the Park starting at 5:00pm. If you haven’t yet been baptized, consider doing so. Everyone is invited to join us, and there is no charge, but because we need a head-count for the pool you need to sign up at the Information Table if you plan to attend.
Couples: Coming July 30th–Aug 1st is a married Couples Retreat at Zephyr Point Conference Grounds, on beautiful Lake Tahoe. This will be a weekend full of encouragement and exhortation on marriage, personal time together and corporate worship. A sign up sheet is on the Information Table if you’re interested in going, as well as registration brochures with complete details and registration form. You will be blessed!
VBS: Come take a life changing Journey with Jesus!! This year, Vacation Bible School is Aug 2nd – 6th from 4:00 – 7:00pm (dinner provided). We will explore the wonders of the rainforest and the love of the Savior. Registration begins today through Aug 1st. Stop by the VBS table in the foyer this morning to register your children and/or sign up to volunteer to help. Questions? Please call Pam Logan at the Church.
Folsom Prison Outreach: Anyone interested in actually going into Folsom prison to share the gospel with inmates, during the special one-day Bill Glass outreach event on Saturday, Aug 14th, please register at their website by July 7th. Registering insures that you receive necessary security clearances and a name badge in order to enter the facility with the group that day. The web address for registration is www.billglass.org.
Jail Ministry: We praise God for all the work He is currently doing in the hearts and minds of inmates at the El Dorado County jail. There currently are a few time slots open for ministering at the jail to the many inmates that have a hunger for the Lord and His Word.
U Turn: The U Turn Thrift Store in Camino is in need of donations, especially clothing and furniture. Donated items can be dropped off at the store Mon – Sat from 9:00am – 5:00pm. Thank you for your support!
Found: Have you misplaced your Bible and can’t find it? Please check the small table in the Foyer. We have an abundance of Bibles eagerly awaiting their owners. And if you left something behind at Family Camp, check the Lost and Found Box in the Kitchen.

Retreat Meeting: There will be a Women’s Retreat Planning Meeting this Tuesday at 6:30pm in the High School Room. If you’d like to help with the planning/serving part of our spring Retreat, please come to the meeting. We’d love your input!
Board: The monthly Board Meeting is this Tuesday at 7:00pm.
Ladies: Women’s Ministry is having a Movie Night this Friday at 7:00pm. We will be showing “China Cry”, a true story about Nora Lam. This movie is a great testimony of one woman’s courage and faith in communist China. Please sign up today at the Information Table and bring a snack to share for a night out with the girls!
Conference: This Saturday Calvary Chapel Modesto will present The Case For Christianity Conference. Pick up a flyer at the Information Table and register on line at www.veritasseminary.com.
Spring Forward: Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday, March 14th at 2:00am, so remember to set your clocks forward one hour this Saturday night!
Prayer: Everyone is invited to join us next Sunday evening at 7:00pm for a time of prayer. The theme is: The Human Rights Amendment.
Fellowship: Flash! Another new Home Fellowship group! This one will begin Friday, Mar 19th at 6:30pm in the home of Jack and Denise Hartman in Pollock Pines. The group will meet the third Friday of each month. For more information please call the Church Office.
Meeting: The annual All Church Business Meeting is Sunday, Mar 21st at 12:30pm. All are welcome.
BBQ: Bring the whole family to a barbecue here at the Church on Mar 28th at 12:30pm. Hamburgers and fixings will be served for a donation of any size, and all profits will help provide scholarships for the upcoming Women’s Retreat. Please sign up at the Information Table so we know how many to shop for, and plan to join us rain or shine!
Easter: The Food Closet will be giving out Easter Dinner Boxes to people in need. They provide a special meal, and tell the true meaning of Easter. The cost is $30.00 each. If you’d like to sponsor one or more, please sign up today at the Information Table.
Women’s Retreat: Coming up April 9th – 11th is our Women’s Retreat at Old Oak Ranch. This will be a great weekend of spiritual renewal, fellowship and fun! Please pick up a registration form at the Information Table for complete details, and plan to attend.
Family Camp: Family Camp at Lake Francis will be June 4th – 6th. It’s a great location with lots of exciting activity opportunities. In addition to tent and RV sites, there are a limited number of cabins available in the Campground and in Lake Francis Village, on a first sign up basis—so don’t delay! Pick up a flyer at the Information Table and read it to see your various options, then fill out your information on the sign up sheet. Statements will start being mailed in April. Please call the Office with questions and for important information regarding reserving additional days.

Life: The California Human Rights Amendment will amend the California Constitution and define human rights as beginning at biological development! 1.2 million signatures are needed to place it on the November ballot. If you’d like to sign the petition, see Doug at the table in the Foyer after either Service.

Donation Tax Receipts: If you would like a receipt for your 2009 giving, please fill out a request form located on the Information Table and place it in the Tithe Box. Your receipt will be mailed to you. Thank you for your faithful giving!
