Health: This morning the Agape Health Nurses will be offering free blood pressure screening after both services in the Main Office.
Worship: Join us this evening at 7:00pm for a great time of Worship and Praise. Nursery and Toddler care is available. Bring the family and come on out!
Prayer: All are invited to the National Day of Prayer Service this Thursday. Cold Springs Community Church is hosting the local gathering. A free Continental Breakfast will be served at 6:45 am, with the Service beginning at 7:00am. Plan to participate in prayer for our nation!
Adoption: Church of the Foothills in Cameron Park is hosting “Adopted By Design” Seminar, Saturday, May 12th, from 10:00am to 12:00 noon. Admission is free, and flyers are on the Information Table.
Fundraiser: The Youth Ministry is having a Rummage Sale on Saturday, May 19th at the Fairgrounds, to raise funds for the summer Horse Camp Outreach to “at risk” children. We will be collecting items for the Sale starting Tuesday, May 8th, through Friday, May 18th, HOWEVER, please do not bring anything to the Church before contacting Pastor Edde at the Church or by email; edde@calvaryplacerville.com. All donations are appreciated, but welcome donations of used horse tack. If you can help out at the Rummage Sale please contact Pastor Edde, or Penny Cochran at 677-4900 or rpcochran@cal.net. Thanks!
Family Camp: Family Camp is only 5 weeks away! Many tent and RV sites are available, and we have some cabins left, mostly Rustics. Flyers and registration sheets are on the Information Table. Please sign up if you plan to attend. Also, we are looking for a 14’ to 18’ covered cargo trailer we can borrow to transport the kitchen equipment. If you have one we can use, please call Kathy at the Church Office.
Couple’s Retreat: The Married Couple’s Retreat at Zephyr Point in Lake Tahoe is scheduled for July 27th – 29th. A sign up sheet is on the Information Table as well as registration forms. The cost is $280.00 per couple for two night accommodations and four meals. It’s a great time to get away and refresh your relationship!
Men’s Campout: Mark your calendars now for the Men’s Campout, Aug 3rd – 5th at Petra Springs. Men are encouraged to bring their sons, and come enjoy a great time in the Word, fishing, hiking and bike riding. More details will follow soon.
VBS Work Days: Looking for a place to use your gifts? Consider coming and helping at the upcoming Vacation Bible School prep days. We have several dates scheduled throughout May and June. Pick up a flyer at the Information Table and come and join us! All help will be most appreciated.
Cleaning Ministry: Our Cleaning Ministry is in need of volunteers to help clean the Church on Tuesdays or Fridays, once or twice a month, especially during the summer months. If you are interested in joining this important behind-the-scenes ministry, a sign up sheet is on the Information Table.
Petition: In 2011 the Stop SB48 campaign came within 8,000 signatures of bringing this controversial bill before California voters. SB48 was signed into law in July 2011, and forces all California schools to include a positive discussion of sexual orientation, transgender, bisexual and homosexual Americans in Social Science courses. An initiative is now underway to overturn SB48, and petitions are available this morning, and for the next two Sundays, in the kitchen. Stop by and check it out.
Coffee: Help support missions in Costa Rica AND enjoy delicious coffee at the same time! Costa Rican coffee is available in the Foyer from our youth this morning for a donation of $15.00 a bag.
Found: Our Lost and Found is again overflowing with items waiting to be claimed by their owners. Please check the Kitchen today for any items that you may be missing.

Thanks: Thank you to all who donated at the Hot Chocolate Fundraiser! We had hoped to donate one camel, through Gospel For Asia’s gift program, in honor of George Fast. Through your generosity enough was raised for 2 camels, 2 goats, 2 rabbits and 4 chickens! Praise the Lord!
Office: Our Offices will open at 10:30am this Tuesday due to a Staff Meeting.
Laser Tag: Jr/Sr High School students! This Friday we are getting together for a night of Laser Tag. This will be a great time of fun and fellowship. Invite your friends!! The cost is $26.00, which covers 2 games, 4 arcade tokens and dinner at Laser City in El Dorado Hills. We will meet here at the Church at 5:45 pm that evening. Ladies: All ladies are invited to our Women’s Spring Luncheon this Saturday from 10:00am – 2:00pm. The cost is $5.00, payable at the door, but please sign up so we know how much food to prepare. Childcare will be provided for children up to age 10, but we ask moms to bring a sack lunch for each child. Nursing infants in arms are welcome! The deadline to sign up is this Wednesday. Flyers and a signup sheet are on the Information Table. It will be a great time of worship, prayer, good food and fellowship. Invite a friend!
Men: The Northern California Calvary Chapel Men’s Conference is this Saturday from 9:00am – 3:00pm at CC Modesto. The main speaker is Pastor David Burdick of CC San Francisco. The conference is free, but you can purchase lunch there for $8.00. Men are encouraged to bring their sons. If you would like to carpool, please sign up today at the Information Table.
