Men: The Men’s Monday Night Bible Study is cancelled this week, as well as Jan 4th. We will resume again on Jan 11th. Please join us then!

Offices: Our Offices will be closed Dec 29th – Jan 1st for the holiday.

Service: The mid-week Service is cancelled this week.

New Year’s Eve: All Jr/Sr High students are invited to our New Year’s Eve Overnight Lock-In this Thursday starting at 9:00pm. There will be lots of food, exciting games and more, and all for only $10.00 per person! Please sign up at the Information Table. Questions? Please see Edde.

Women’s Ministry: If you’d like to be a part of Women’s Ministries, or just want more information about who we are and what we do, please join us at our meeting Monday, Jan 4th at 6:30pm in the Church Office. All ladies are invited. Come see how the Lord would like to use you for His glory!

Ladies: Our Ladies’ Winter/Spring Bible Study begins Thursday, Jan 14th, with a New Inductive Study on the book of Colossians. We will have classes at 9:30am (with childcare) and 6:30pm. Please sign up at the Information Table. This is a great way to meet people and fellowship around God’s Word.  We would love to have you join us!

Conference: Flyers are now on the Information Table for the High Sierra Pastors’ and Leaders’ Conference at Zephyr Point, Mar 22nd – 24th. Featured speakers are Rich Chaffin of CC Laguna Creek and Bob Caldwell of CC Boise. Registration is done individually by mail. This conference fills quickly, so don’t delay.

Israel: Pastor Nick will be leading a tour to the Holy Land, May 1st – 12th, 2010. Flyers, with details and registration form, are on the Information Table. It’s not too late to join us!

Opening: Liz Neumann has opened a Thrift and Gift Store, featuring new and used items, and proceeds will benefit missions in Thailand. If you have items you’d like to donate, would like to volunteer or have questions, please call 344-7200.

Prayer Service: Join us this Thursday at 6:00pm for a New Year’s Eve Prayer Service. What better way to bring in the New Year!

Announcements for November 1, 2009

Women’s Ministry: If you’d like to be a part of Women’s Ministries, or just want more information, please join us at our meeting tomorrow night at 6:30pm in the Church Office. All ladies are invited. Come see how the Lord would like to use you for His glory!

Men: Join us for a new  Men’s Bible Study at Denny’s in Cameron Park at 5:00am on Tuesdays. This is a great time to meet with brothers in Christ before the work day.

Jail: For all who serve in the Jail Ministry, and those interested, join us at our Jail Ministry Meeting this Tuesday at 6:00pm in the High School Room.

Special: Next Sunday we are happy to welcome back Dr. Thomas Kindell of Reasons for Faith Ministries. He will be presenting “The Case For Creation” at 8:30/10:30am Services, speaking on “Design in Nature—The Birds”, and at 7:00pm, “Is There A Monkey in Your Family Tree?” Bring out the whole family, and invite a friend!

Soldiers: We’re pleased to partner with Faith Comes by Hearing in providing Military Biblesticks for soldiers stationed overseas. Each one contains the audio New Testament, and is small enough for them to listen to anywhere.  Each Biblestick costs only $25.00 and comes with a card for soldiers to request an MP3 Bible for their family. If you’d like to donate one or more, please make your check out to Calvary Chapel, noting “Military Biblesticks”, and place it in the Tithe Box by next Sunday.  What better way to commemorate Veteran’s Day than with the gift of God’s Word!

Firewood: On Saturday, Nov 14th, from 8:00am-12:00pm, we will be having a wood cutting day. Many hands make light work.  Please sign up at the Information Table if you can help out. Also, if you are a single woman or an elderly person in need of firewood, please sign up, indicating how much wood you will need, and someone will contact you. If you would like more information, please call the Church Office.

Ladies: Please join us Saturday, Nov 14th from 9:00-11:00am for a special Worship and Prayer Meeting. This will be a sweet time of praise and intercessory prayer as we join with our sisters in Christ and bring needs before the Lord. For more information, please contact the Church Office.

New Study: The Men’s Monday Night Bible Study will be starting a new study in the book of John on November 16th at 7:00pm. All men are encouraged to come on out!

Need: Our Kid’s Clothes Closet is in need of winter clothing donations sizes 3T-7. We are also collecting new/used Christian children’s CDs for Christmas bags. Donations can be dropped off at the Church Tuesdays-Fridays during normal Office hours.

Christmas: In December the Food Closet will once again be giving away Christmas Stockings/Bags to families in need. They will include various goodies and a devotional CD and message. If you would like to sponsor one or more bags/stockings, at a cost of $12.00 each, please sign up at the Information Table.

Visual Team: Do you want to serve here in the Body, but prefer something “behind the scenes”? Consider being a Projectionist. We will provide the training, and you will be performing a much-needed service. If you would like to help please sign up at the Information Table and you will be contacted.

Sunday Mornings: If you have a heart to serve in the Children’s Ministry, we welcome you! There are openings in the Preschool and 6th grade classes. You’ll be given all the information and curriculum needed.  Live scan clearances are required. Please see Pam Logan or Pastor Dan for more information.

Wednesday Evenings: Children’s Ministry is in need of helpers to oversee children during the midweek service from 7:00-8:30pm, typically every other week. Please prayerfully consider serving, and contact the Office for more information.

Winter Needs: We are collecting clean, used, adult-sized coats for the community homeless, as well as tarps (in good and clean condition), any size, color, or material. Please place your donations in the large box in the Foyer. For questions please contact the Church Office.
