Announcements for October 4th, 2009
Parents: This morning following 2nd Service, the Calvary Kid’s Clothes Closet will be offering Fall/Winter children’s clothing sizes 0-16. All families are invited to “shop” for free for their family’s needs. And if you have any clothes your children have out-grown and would like to donate to the Closet, you may do so at that time. Donations are greatly appreciated!
Luncheon: We want to thank each Children’s Ministry volunteer for their service here at CCP with an Appreciation Luncheon, today, from 12:30-2:30pm, upstairs in Room 4. ALL Children’s Ministry servants are welcome. See Pam Logan for more information.
Women’s Ministry: Looking for a place to serve in the Body? Do you want to know your sisters in Christ in a deeper way? Come be a part of Women’s Ministry here at CC Placerville! There will be a WM meeting tomorrow night at 6:30pm in the Office. All ladies are invited to attend. Come see how the Lord would like to use you for His glory!
Guys: Oct 9th – 11th is the Men’s Retreat at Woodleaf! If you want to be part of the carpool, contact the church this week.
Women: The 2009 Calvary Chapel Women’s Conference at CC Modesto is Saturday, Oct 17th from 9:00am-4:00pm. The theme is “Conquering the Giants”. Speakers include Cathy Dickinson, Karyn Johnson and Debbi Bryson. Flyers with registration form are on the Information Table. If you plan to attend, you need to complete the form on the Information Table today and place it in the Tithe Box.
Early Birds: Beginning Tuesday, Oct 20th at 5:00am, there will be a new Men’s Bible Study at Denny’s in Cameron Park, studying the Book of Galatians.
Sound: We have an immediate need for volunteers in our Sound Ministry, for Sundays and Wednesdays. Training is provided. This is a great way to serve in a vital ministry. Please sign up at the Information Table and you will be contacted.
Wednesday Evenings: Children’s Ministry is in need of helpers to oversee children during the midweek service from 7:00-8:30pm, typically every other week. Please prayerfully consider serving, and contact the Office for more information.
Harvest Night: Mark your calendars for our annual Harvest Night Outreach at the El Dorado County fairgrounds, Saturday, Oct 31st from 5:30-8:30pm. Many hands and helpers are needed, so please see the sign up sheet and flyers on the Information Table. For other questions, please contact Pastor Dan or Pam Logan at 626-8484.

Israel: Pastor Nick will be leading a tour to the Holy Land, May 1st – 12th, 2010. It will be an awe inspiring trip you won’t want to miss! The registration deadline has been extended, so it’s not too late to send yours in. Flyers, with complete details and registration form, are available at the Information Table. There will be an Orientation Meeting on Sunday, Oct 18th at 7:00pm for all going, and all wanting more information.
Winter Needs: Cold weather will soon be upon us. We are collecting used, adult-sized coats for the community homeless. Please bring any coats that you can donate and place them in the box in the Foyer. Also any spare tarps (in good and clean condition) you may have, any size, color, or material, would be greatly appreciated.
Prayer: Do you have a prayer request? Please fill out a green form, located on the tables in the Foyer, and place it in the Prayer Request Box on the wall above the Information Table. They will be prayed for on Fridays by the Men’s Prayer group, who will diligently lift up your needs before the Lord. For an immediate need, please call the Prayer Chain at 626-8484 weekdays or 626-7183 weekends. All men are welcome to join us for prayer every Friday at 6:30am.
