Offices: Our Offices will be closed this Tuesday in observance of Labor Day.

Jail Ministry: There will be a Jail Ministry Meeting this Tuesday at 6:30pm. All current volunteers, and those interested in this important ministry, are urged to attend.

Pure Life: It’s not too late to register for “A Call To Purity Weekend”, presented here this Friday and Saturday. Friday evening starts at 7:00pm, but you can arrive anytime after 6:15pm to check in and get a good seat. The Saturday session starts at 8:30am, and should finish around 1:00pm. Men, women, and high school students are encouraged to attend. Flyers and registration forms are on the Information Table. Please place your completed form and payment in the Tithe Box today.

BBQ: Bring the whole family to a Barbecue and Movie Night, here at the Church on Friday, Sept 16th at 6:30pm out on the lawn! Barbecue hamburgers and hot dogs, and beverages will be provided, and you bring a potluck dish to share. It’s very important that you sign up if you plan to attend, as we need to get an accurate headcount for the burgers and hot dogs we need to prepare. Sign up sheets are on the Information Table. And remember to bring folding chairs or blankets to sit on. See you there!

Back-to-School: Following second Service on Sunday, Sept 18th, the Calvary Kid’s Clothes Closet will be offering our Fall/Winter children’s clothing out in the parking lot (weather permitting). Please stop by for your back-to-school needs. Donations of children’s clothing and accessories (shoes, socks, hats, gloves, backpacks, etc) can also be dropped off that day. We are so thankful for the blessing of being able to serve the Body in this way!

Orientation: There will be a Jail Orientation meeting Monday, Sept 19th at 6:00pm at the El Dorado County Jail. Current volunteers who have not been to an orientation within the past two years are required to attend. Those interested in joining this vital ministry are also asked to attend.

Shalom!: Please join us Sunday, Sept 25th as we welcome special guest speaker  David Brickner of Jews For Jesus. He will be presenting “Christ in the Feast of Tabernacles” at both morning Services. Invite your family and friends and come hear all of the exciting things that God is doing today in bringing Jews to Jesus.

Men: The Northern California Men’s Retreat at Woodleaf is Oct 7th – 9th. The theme is 1 Chronicles 22:19, “Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God.” The cost is $110.00 (T-Shirt is extra). Please sign up at the Information Table if you wish to attend. Registration brochures will soon be available. This is a great time of fellowship with the Lord and your brothers in Christ!

Garden Ministry: The Firstfruits Garden is in need of volunteers to oversee this important ministry. We also need volunteers to come on Wednesday mornings to help with weeding and maintenance. If interested, please contact Kris at kristhayer@att.net. Thank you Kris for all your hard work!

Life: The Sacramento 40 Days For Life is Sept 26th through Nov 6th, at the abortion clinic on Wright Street. This is a peaceful, prayerful vigil, to help women choose LIFE.

Petitions are available this morning, if you’d like to sign one.
