Men: The Men’s Bible Study is cancelled tomorrow night due to VBS.
YAF: Due to Vacation Bible School, tomorrow night’s Young Adult Fellowship will be meeting at the Ellis’ home instead of at the Church. For directions, please call the church Office.
VBS: Vacation Bible School begins tomorrow, from 4:00 – 7:00pm, and runs through Friday the 6th. We are going to take an exciting journey with Jesus! Stop by the VBS table in the foyer this morning to register your children. We also have some areas of service left to fill, and there is a donation list for food items if you can help out in that way. Invite your neighbors and friends!
Guys: Every Tuesday morning we meet at 5:00am at Denny’s in Cameron Park for Bible study. We’ve just begun the book of Isaiah. All men are welcome to join us!
Mother’s Prayer Meeting: All women with mother’s hearts are invited to a Prayer Meeting this Wednesday, from 5:50 to 7:00pm in the Cry Room. We will intercede for our children, families, schools and more.
Services: Mid-week Services are cancelled, this week only, due to VBS.
Fun: Volleyball anyone? All are welcome to join us for fun and fellowship every Thursday night at 6:00pm on the lawn area. Bring your friends, your ace bandages and snacks to share if you’d like, and plan to have fun!
Young Adults: The Young Adult Fellowship will be having a BBQ/Baptism at Sly Park this Saturday at 1:00pm. For details and the specific location, please call the Church Office.
Prayer: Everyone is invited to join us next Sunday evening at 7:00pm for a time of prayer. The theme is: our Nation and Leaders.
Jail Ministry: There will be an Orientation Meeting at the El Dorado County Jail on Monday, Aug 23rdat 6:00pm. This is a mandatory meeting for all those interested in becoming a part of the Jail Ministry. Those interested, as well as current volunteers, are urged to attend.
Financial Workshop: On Saturday, Aug 28th from 9:00 10:30am, Kevin Wright will be doing the last in a series of monthly workshops for any who are interested. Kevin’s heart is to offer assistance, using practical skills with a Biblical perspective. The workshop is free, and there will be no solicitation. Please sign up at the Information Table if you’d like to attend.
BIG: Saturday, Sept 4th, starting at 7:00am we will have a HUGE Rummage Sale Fundraiser to benefit Youth Missions. If you would like to help out, or donate items, please contact Becky Clingan at ra93clingan@comcast.net or Pastor Edde at the Church or edde@calvaryplacerville.com. Donations will be collected Tuesday, Aug 31st through Friday, Sept 3rd, during normal Office hours, so please don’t drop off any items before then. Thanks!
Found: Our Lost and Found is once again overflowing with items waiting to be claimed by their owners. Please check the Kitchen today for any items you may be missing.

Bake Sale: Stop by the table in the Foyer this morning and pick up a delicious homemade goodie! All proceeds go to support Youth Missions (including the Mexico Mission).

Women’s Ministry: If you’d like to be a part of Women’s Ministries, or just want more information about who we are and what we do, please join us at our meeting tomorrow night at 6:30pm in the Church Office. All ladies are invited. Come see how the Lord would like to use you for His glory!

Ladies: Our Ladies’ Winter/Spring Bible Study begins Thursday, Jan 14th, with a New Inductive Study on the book of Colossians. We will have classes at 9:30am (with childcare) and 6:30pm. Please sign up at the Information Table. This is a great way to meet people and fellowship around God’s Word. We would love to have you join us!
Young Women: Young ladies, from teens to twenty-something, you are cordially invited to a special “Handmaidens of the Lord” dinner on Fri, Jan 22nd 5:30pm-8:00pm. It will be a time of fellowship and focusing on living a pure life for our Lord Jesus Christ. The dinner is our gift to you, but you may bring a dessert to share. Please sign up at the Information Table and come and be blessed!
Conference: Flyers are now on the Information Table for the High Sierra Pastors’ and Leaders’ Conference at Zephyr Point, Mar 22nd – 24th. Featured speakers are Rich Chaffin of CC Laguna Creek and Bob Caldwell of CC Boise. Registration is done individually by mail. This conference fills quickly, so don’t delay.
Israel: Pastor Nick will be leading a tour to the Holy Land, May 1st – 12th, 2010. Flyers, with details and registration form, are on the Information Table. It’s not too late to join us!
