Announcements for June 19, 2011

Offices: Our Offices will open at 10:30am this Tuesday due to a Staff Meeting.

Ladies: Beginning this Thursday, June 23^rd, we are starting an eight-week Summer Bible Study in the book of 1^st John. There will be a morning class only, at 9:30am, and childcare is available. Please sign up at the Information Table. Come join us as we fellowship together over God’s Word, and you are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy out on the lawn area afterwards. (No childcare during lunch, but the kids can enjoy the playground!)

Worship: Plan to join us for a great time of Praise & Worship, next Sunday, June 26^th at 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome, and nursery and toddler care is provided.

5^th/6^th Grade Camp: All students currently in 5^th or 6^th grade are welcome to attend this year’s summer weekend Campout July 15^th -17^th. This year it will be held at an all new campground, “Petra Springs Christian Camp”, owned and operated by Calvary Chapel Woodland. The cost is $40.00 per student and includes all meals, van trip, camp fee, and activities. The theme for the weekend in Colossians 1:16.  The signup sheet and registration packs are on the Information Table. Please see Pastor Dan if you have questions.

Volleyball / Barbecue: Please join us Thursday night, June 30, starting at 6:00 pm for F.R.E.D. Volleyball and a potluck barbecue.  It doesn’t matter if you play or not, please join us for fellowship, food and lots of noisy people having fun.  Drinks and hamburgers and hotdogs will be provided.  Please sign up at the Information Table, indicating if you’ll bring a side-dish, salad or desert. And remember, EVERY Thursday night at 6:00 pm is volleyball on the grass. We look forward to seeing you there!

Coming Up: The Youth Ministry Backpacking Trip is happening July 18th – 20^th. The cost is $35 per person. Signups and details will be available next Sunday, but save the date now!

Couple’s Retreat: The Married Couple’s Retreat at Zephyr Point in Lake Tahoe is scheduled for July 29^th – 31^st. A sign up sheet is on the Information Table as well as registration forms. The cost is $265.00 per couple for two night accommodations and four meals. If you signed up, but haven’t yet registered, please do so as soon as possible. It’s a great time to get away and refresh your relationship!

Coffee: You can help support missions in Costa Rica AND enjoy delicious coffee at the same time! Costa Rican coffee is available in the Foyer from our youth this morning for a donation of $15.00 a bag. A portion of that may be tax deductable; please call the Office for more information.
