Prayer: Everyone is invited to join us this evening at 7:00pm for a time of prayer.
BBQ: Bring the whole family to a Barbecue and Movie Night, here at the Church this Friday at 6:30pm out on the lawn! Barbecue hamburgers and hot dogs, and beverages will be provided, and you bring a potluck dish to share. It’s very important that you sign up today if you plan to attend, as we need to get an accurate headcount for the burgers and hot dogs we need to prepare. Sign up sheets are on the Information Table. And remember to bring folding chairs or blankets to sit on. See you there!
Back-to-School: Following second Service next Sunday the Calvary Kid’s Clothes Closet will be offering our Fall/Winter children’s clothing out in the parking lot (weather permitting). Please stop by for your back-to-school needs. Donations of children’s clothing and accessories (shoes, socks, hats, gloves, backpacks, etc) can also be dropped off that day. We are so thankful for the blessing of being able to serve the Body in this way!
Orientation: There will be a Jail Orientation meeting Monday, Sept 19th at 6:00pm at the El Dorado County Jail. Current volunteers who have not been to an orientation within the past two years are required to attend. Those interested in joining this vital ministry are also asked to attend.
Ladies: Women’s Ministry is having a planning meeting Tuesday, Sept 20th at 6:30pm in the High School Room. We will be discussing the upcoming Women’s Fall Luncheon. Many volunteers are needed. Come and see how the Lord would use you in His service to your sisters in Christ!
Shalom!: Please join us Sunday, Sept 25th as we welcome special guest speaker David Brickner of Jews For Jesus. He will be presenting “Christ in the Feast of Tabernacles” at both morning Services. Invite your family and friends and come hear all of the exciting things that God is doing today in bringing Jews to Jesus.
Men: The Northern California Men’s Retreat at Woodleaf is Oct 7th – 9th. The theme is 1 Chronicles 22:19, “Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God.” The cost is $110.00 (T-Shirt is extra). Registration brochures and a sign up sheet are on the Information Table. Please place your completed form and payment in the Tithe Box, noting “Men’s Retreat”. The deadline to register is Wednesday, Sept 21st. This is a great time of fellowship with the Lord and your brothers in Christ!
Life: The Sacramento 40 Days For Life is Sept 26th through Nov 6th, at the abortion clinic on Wright Street. This is a peaceful, prayerful vigil, to help women choose LIFE.
Special Needs Childcare: Children’s Ministry is currently seeking volunteers for one -on-one care during first Service, of cognitively impaired and other disabled children. A professionally trained Special Needs teacher will be providing training and leadership for volunteers. For more details please contact Pam Logan at 626-8484.
Stop SB48: Gov. Brown recently signed SB48 into law, which requires Ca. text books to include a study of the role and contributions of “…lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans…” Stop SB48 is collecting signatures to overturn this. Petitions are available this morning, if you’d like to sign one.

Men: The Men’s Monday Night Bible Study is cancelled tomorrow night for the holiday. Please join us next week.
Ladies: If you’d like to be a part of Women’s Ministries, or want more information about who we are and what we do, please join us this Tuesday at 6:30pm in the Church Office. We will be planning our upcoming Mom’s Luncheon. We would love to have your input! Come see how the Lord would like to use you for His glory!
Spring Outreach: There will be a Youth Mission Spring Outreach planning meeting next Sunday at 12:30pm. All Jr/Sr High Students and their parents who are interested in being apart of this outreach are urged to attend. For more information, please see pastor Edde.

Sr High Camp: All Sr High students are invited to join us Feb 4th-6th at Woodleaf Conference Center for the 2011 High School Winter Camp. The theme is “Truth”. The cost is $125.00, however if you are unable to afford it, please let Pastor Edde know as soon as possible as we may be able to help. Please sign up at the Information Table before Jan 20th.
Winter Camp: Mark your calendars now for the Jr High Winter Camp at Woodleaf, Mar 4th-6th. More information will follow soon, but if you are interested in going, please sign up at the Information Table.
Conference: Flyers are now on the Information Table for the High Sierra Pastors’ and Leaders’ Conference at Zephyr Point, Mar 28th – 30th. Featured speakers are Rich Chaffin of CC Laguna Creek and Gilbert Delao of CC Red Bluff. Registration is done individually by mail. This conference can fill quickly, so don’t delay.
Sunday School: Our Sunday School program is in need of a teacher for elementary grades and three Nursery caregivers. We are seeking volunteers, mature in the Lord, to train our young ones, and ready to begin serving on a rotating basis within 30 days. Please contact Pam Logan at 626-8484 or Pastor Dan as soon as possible.
Got Bible?: We have collected quite a few misplaced Bibles. So if you are missing yours, please check the table this morning by the front doors.
Found: Our Lost and Found is once again overflowing with items waiting to be claimed by their owners. Please check the Kitchen today for any items you may be missing.
