Thank You: Voice of the Martyrs Parachute Sunday was a big success! We raised $335.00, which is enough to provide 30 parachutes, plus money to cover Bibles and radios. A heartfelt thank you to all who came out to support this vital ministry!
Worship: Join us this evening at 7:00pm for a great time of Worship and Praise, outside on the lawn, weather permitting. Nursery and Toddler care is available. Bring the family and come on out!
Jail Ministry: There will be a Jail Ministry Meeting Tuesday, Sept 6th at 6:30pm. All current volunteers, and those interested in this important ministry, are urged to attend.
Pure Life: The deadline to sign up has been extended, and registration forms and flyers are available at the Information Table for A Call to Purity Weekend, presented here Friday, Sept 9th from 7:00 – 9:00pm, and Saturday, Sept 10th from 8:30am - 12:30pm. Men, women, and high school students are encouraged to attend. Registration forms and payment can be placed in the Tithe Box, noting “Call to Purity”.
BBQ: Bring the whole family to a Barbecue and Movie Night, here at the Church on Friday, Sept 16th at 6:30pm out on the lawn! Barbecue hamburgers and hot dogs, and beverages will be provided, and you bring a potluck dish to share. It’s very important that you sign up if you plan to attend, as we need to get an accurate headcount for the burgers and hot dogs we need to prepare. Sign up sheets are on the Information Table. And remember to bring folding chairs or blankets to sit on. See you there!
Orientation: There will be a Jail Orientation meeting Monday, Sept 19th at 6:00pm at the El Dorado County Jail. Current volunteers who have not been to an orientation within the past two years are required to attend. Those interested in joining this vital ministry are also asked to attend.
Men: The Northern California Men’s Retreat at Woodleaf is Oct 7th – 9th. The theme is 1 Chronicles 22:19, “Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God.” The cost is $110.00 (cost of the T-Shirt is extra). Please sign up at the Information Table if you wish to attend. Registration brochures will soon be available. This is a great time of fellowship with the Lord and your brother’s in Christ!
Garden Ministry: The Firstfruits Garden is in need of volunteers to oversee this important ministry. We also need volunteers to come on Wednesday mornings to help with weeding and maintenance. If interested, please contact Kris at kristhayer@att.net. Thank you Kris for all your hard work!
Life: The Sacramento 40 Days For Life is Sept 26th through Nov 6th, at the abortion clinic on Wright Street. This is a peaceful, prayerful vigil, to help women choose LIFE. For more information, please contact the Office.
Stop SB48: Gov. Brown recently signed SB48 into law, which requires Ca. text books to include a study of the role and contributions of “…lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans…” Stop SB48 is collecting signatures to overturn this. Petitions are available in the Kitchen this morning, if you’d like to sign one.
Found: Our Lost and Found is again overflowing with items waiting to be claimed by their owners. Please check the Kitchen today for any items that you may be missing.

Baptism: Today we’re having a Baptism/Swim Party at the City Pool. The pool opens at 5:45pm, but bring a picnic dinner and join us in the Park starting at 5:00pm. If you haven’t yet been baptized, consider doing so. All are welcome, but there is a maximum of 150 allowed inside the pool area.
Men: The Men’s Monday Night Bible Study has started a new study in the book of Genesis. All that is needed is a Bible and a willing heart. We meet at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. Please join us—all are welcome!

VBS: Come hit the “Beach” with us at Vacation Bible School, August 1st – 5th, from 4:00 – 7:00pm. You may register your children, grades K – 6th today in the Foyer, or online at www.calvaryplacerville.com. Come join us for Bible lessons, food and fun! For questions, please see Pam Logan.
YAF: Due to Vacation Bible School, the August 1st YAF meeting will be at the Ellis’ home.

Prayer Chain: Do you love to go before the Lord in prayer with the needs of others? Our Prayer Chain is looking for dependable, faithful pray-ers. You can sign up for days (8:30am – 5:00pm), or evenings (5:00 – 8:30pm), depending on your best availability. If you would like to serve the Body in this way, please sign up at the Information Table and uou will be contacted.
Coffee: You can help support missions in Costa Rica AND enjoy delicious coffee at the same time! Costa Rican coffee is available in the Foyer from our youth this morning for a donation of $15.00 a bag. A portion of that may be tax deductable; please call the Office for more information.
